About us

With over two decades of experience producing over 50 million award-winning advertising and marketing messages to consumers and voters in over 40 states for more than 2,000 clients, our team is one of the most seasoned, accomplished Republican direct mail and digital firms in the industry.
Greg Capelli President

Greg Capelli began his political career helping West Virginia Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito capture a Democrat open seat in 2000. Prior to that, Capelli received his B.A. From Marshall University.

After helping Capito win an election where she was outspent 7 to 1 and Democrat registration greatly outnumbered Republican registration, Capelli served as a Legislative Assistant in Rep. Capito’s Capitol Hill office.

In July 2001, Capelli joined the consulting world by taking a job as Vice President of Creative Direct, a Richmond, VA based Republican direct mail firm. As Vice President, Capelli worked on over 200 campaigns in 28 states – helping Alabama Governor Bob Riley win a hard-fought primary in 2002, and then Congressman Vern Buchanan and Senator Bob Corker win their difficult races in 2006.

After the 2006 cycle, Capelli co-founded Political Ink, Inc, a full-service, voter-contact direct mail firm with offices in Alexandria, VA, and Richmond, VA. While at Political Ink, Capelli helped the Louisiana Committee for a Republican Majority win enough seats in 2007 to see the first Republican Speaker since Reconstruction, helped now-Congressman Tom Rooney win a hard-fought primary against two better known and better funded opponents, and worked with Montana Republicans as they recaptured control in the State Senate and retained an even split in the State House.

In April 2010, Capelli struck out on his own to form Desumo Strategies, Inc. During the 2010 election cycle, Capelli worked with the North Carolina Republican Party (Senate), NC Civitas Action (House and Senate), Montana Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (House and Senate), Montana Republican Party (House and Senate), Tennessee Republican Party (House), Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (House), and the Alabama Farmers Federation (House and Senate), as well as over 100 individual campaigns to help Republicans capture or expand majorities in their respective Legislatures.

Throughout 2009 and 2010, Capelli helped Americans for Prosperity promote free-market principles around the country by educating citizens about where their representatives stand on the issues important to them – producing materials in over 40 Congressional districts and 50 legislative districts. And in 2010, Capelli helped secure victories for Congresswoman Jaime Herrera-Buetler (WA) and Congressman Tom Rooney (FL).

In 2011, Desumo Strategies worked with the Mississippi Republican Party to help take over the State House for Republicans for the first time and expand the majority in the State Senate – winning three hotly contested, highly-targeted races. Also in 2011, Desumo Strategies was instrumental in recapturing the State Senate in Virginia, working directly with candidates as well as organizations committed to our Republican principles.

From 2012 through 2014, Capelli worked on campaigns in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, California, Arkansas, Arizona, and West Virginia. In 2014, Capelli joined with Gregory Gleaves to start Direct Edge Campaigns, LLC. Together, they produced millions of pieces of mail around the country defending Republican majorities in state legislatures, helping local and countywide candidates win hard-fought campaigns, and producing historic results – like taking over the West Virginia House and Senate, as well as helping take over the Kentucky House, thus rounding out the Southeastern United States for Republican control.

At the beginning of 2018, Capelli merged his personal consulting firm, Paragon Campaigns, with Majority Strategies, LLC and moved his family to St. Augustine, Florida, where he continued producing winning mail, but is also expanded his knowledge base by working in the digital, mobile, and TV mediums.

Now a resident of Charleston, South Carolina, Capelli has teamed with industry leaders Sean Spicer and Jimmy Keady to form point1, LLC – a rapidly growing firm that is taking on tough races with a diverse group of candidates.

In all, Capelli has worked on races at every level – from City Council to State Senate to U.S. Senate – writing, designing, and producing winning advertising.

Sean Spicer Partner

Sean Spicer’s political career began long before the former White House Press Secretary made his mark as one of the most recognized staffers in the Trump administration. Sean built a decades-long career in Republican politics, witnessing and shaping the inner workings of Washington, DC, from every vantage point – as a House of Representatives communicator, heading up incumbent retention at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, in George W. Bush’s White House as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative, as the Chief Strategist and Director of Communications at the Republican National Committee, top advisor to presidential campaigns, and of course, White House Press Secretary. Sean made his way up through the ranks and has experience at every level in Washington. Few are as well-equipped as Sean to pull back the curtain and dissect what’s really happening in the nation’s capital.

Since leaving the White House, Sean has become the founder and President of RigWil LLC, a strategic consulting firm that provides insights to C-suite corporate and association executives. Additionally, he is a founding partner of point1, a mail, digital, and consulting firm that works with top Republican candidates in key races across the country. Sean also serves as a spokesman and senior advisor to the America First Action SuperPAC, the only SuperPAC sanctioned by the President. In August 2019, President Trump announced Sean’s appointment to the Board of Visitors at the US Naval Academy.

Sean has traveled the world addressing groups, corporations, forums, schools and associations as an exclusive speaker of the Worldwide Speakers Group. He is a council member of the Gerson Lehrman Group and served as a visiting fellow at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics during the 2017-2018 academic year. He is the author of the New York Times bestselling book The Briefing, which sheds light on the headline-grabbing Trump administration’s first year as well as the 2016 campaign and his time in Washington.

Sean is a lifelong Republican operative and anyone who has worked with him knows him as relentless, quick-witted and loyal. He built his career working passionately on campaigns, administrations, and for the Republican Party. His role in reshaping the Republican National Committee’s PR strategy helped the party rebuild after losses in 2012. He implemented his same strategies in 2014 and lead the party to sweeping victories. In 2016 prior to the must-see Republican primary debates, Sean worked on behalf of the party to restructure debate format creating a role for the party working with networks, campaigns, and other partners to produce a schedule and debate ground rules that prompted higher quality, informative and fair debates. These debates broke records for TV viewership. Sean’s efforts as the RNC’s Chief Strategist and Communications Director landed him a spot in PR Week’s Power 15 list for 2016, as he helped the RNC generate approximately $1.4 billion in earned media that cycle.

After Trump became the Republican nominee, Sean split his time between his role at the RNC and on the Trump campaign in an advisory capacity. Sean played a pivotal role in the party’s improbable wins across the country that November.
